Bluegrass Realtors is looking toward the future with a proposed building renovation to our association building - designed to enhance your experience, upgrade our facilities, and ensure our space continues to meet the evolving needs of our membership. From modernized classrooms and meeting areas to a more welcoming reception space, the proposed improvements reflect our commitment to providing top-tier service and support to every member. Here’s what you need to know about what’s being planned, why it matters, and how it will benefit you as a member.

What Are We Doing?

If approved by the membership, the association will begin an extensive building renovation that will improve the space, enhance the member experience, and offer new opportunities. Substantial improvements include an updated education center, additional classroom, enhanced member areas, and redesigning of the reception area.

• The updated education center will provide better in-person experience with a large LED Video Wall, and better remote experience with new cameras and audio capabilities. 
   
• The additional classroom will provide more flexibility for hosting smaller classes, events, and sessions, while also offering brokerages another option for holding sales and office meetings in addition to the larger education center.
  
  
• The enhanced areas available for member use will include:
  • New Meeting Room: 4-6 Members
  • Regency Room: 6-12 Members
  • Board Room: 8-20 Members
  • Second Classroom: 12-40 Members
  • Education Center: 40-100+ Members

• The new reception area will create a more open, inviting, and professional first impression for both members and visitors.

Why Are We Doing It?

Efficient layouts, improved accessibility, updated amenities, and a more inviting atmosphere will:

• improve experience for remote access,
• provide a modernized facility for membership,
• remove safety hazards (carpet trips, etc.),
• and help maintain the value of the association’s largest fixed asset.

When Are We Doing It?

The Board of Directors approved a $1 million building renovations budget which must be approved by the membership.

The August 28 Nomination Dinner will provide an opportunity to hear a presentation from CEO Richard Gibbens as he walks through the proposed floor plan.

Following the membership meeting, members will receive an emailed Election Ballot which will include a vote to approve, or deny, the $1 million spend.

Voting will end September 3. If approved, building renovations are scheduled to begin during the 4th quarter of 2025 and finish at the end of January 2026.

The excellent member experience you have had will continue. Bluegrass Realtors staff will be relocated to a temporary space which will allow you to keep receiving top of the line customer service. The location of the temporary space is currently being determined.
