Bluegrass Realtors® has awarded $10,000 in grants to local charitable organizations. This funding comes as part of the Association’s Community Education and Outreach Committee’s goal of helping organizations across the 38-county jurisdiction. Ten organizations received $1,000 each as part of the Good Neighbor Grants program.
Home sales in May surged from the previous month, with a 14% increase, hitting 1,343 transactions from 1,177 in April. Compared to last year, sales were down less than 1% as the May 2024 numbers were slightly higher with 1,352 sales.

Scholarship winners completed applications this spring as part of the Association’s Community Education and Outreach Committee’s goal of helping students, and investing in education, across the 38-county jurisdiction. As part of the application, applicants included an essay on the importance of homeownership.
April recorded the 18th consecutive month of year-over-year growth in available housing inventory, with 3,551 homes listed for sale - a 25% increase over the 2,853 listings available at the same time last year. Inventory remained above the 3,000 mark for the 11th straight month and rose 5% from March, marking the highest April inventory total since 2020. The summer housing market will see improved conditions for buyers with the growth in available homes.

In March, housing availability recorded its 17th consecutive month of year-over-year growth, with 3,292 homes listed for sale - an 18% increase over the 2,790 listings available at the same time last year.
