For over 20 years, Bluegrass Realtors® has made available over $745,000 to promote economic development across the region.
The Realtor® Community Housing Foundation (RCHF) donated $10,000 towards flood relief efforts to Appalachian Regional Healthcare Foundation for Healthier Communities (ARH), a Kentucky non-profit organization that operates throughout Eastern Kentucky and Southern West Virginia.
The real estate market in the Bluegrass region kicked off 2025 with rising home prices, strong sales figures and increased housing inventory.
Real estate prices rose to a new benchmark for the month of January, reaching $273,000. Compared to last year’s $258,000, the jump was 9% and reached the highest on record for the month.

Todd Hyatt was installed as the 2025 president of Bluegrass Realtors®. Hyatt serves as co-owner of Lois Ann Disponett Real Estate alongside his wife, Lois Ann Disponett, in Lawrenceburg where he has 38 years of full-time experience. He has served the Association in many leadership positions including 12 years as a director, served as treasurer in 2023 and president-elect in 2024, and has been a dedicated member of various committees, continuously working to advance the Association's goals and support its members.
Bluegrass Realtors® presented its highest awards for 2024 at the recent Installation Luncheon and Member Recognition Meeting – Realtor® of the Year and Good Neighbor – honoring outstanding Realtors® within the Association. Additionally, three individuals were recognized with the President’s Award.
December proved to be another strong month for home sales in the Bluegrass region and capped off an active year in real estate. Residential transactions were up 11% for the month, with 1,021 sales compared to 919 last year while sales were up 2% over the previous month. Single-family sales increased 10% with 952 sales this year compared to 865 last year. Townhouse/condo sales rose to 69 sales compared to 54 in 2023, a 28% increase.
