Bluegrass Realtors® is offering $10,000 in grant money to local charitable organizations. This funding comes as part of the Association’s Community Education and Outreach Committee’s goal of helping organizations across the 30-county jurisdiction. These Good Neighbor Grants will be awarded to 10 different recipients at $1,000 each.
“The Good Neighbor Grants recognize the unwavering commitment of local organizations who give back to our communities. Since the program began during the pandemic, the Association has awarded more than $30,000 to groups that work tirelessly to improve the lives and communities of those around them,” said Randy Newsome, president of Bluegrass Realtors®.
Applications for the grants will stay open through Friday, April 12 with the goal of selecting recipients by the end of that month. Organizations should be affiliated with real estate, shelter or other housing related need in some way, be recognized as exempt (Section 501 or 509) and be incorporated in Kentucky with services provided in the Association’s 30-county jurisdiction. The list of counties can be found on the Bluegrass Realtors® website.
“All eligible organizations are encouraged to apply. As Realtors, we care deeply about the livelihood of everyone in the community,” stated Tyanne Whitworth, chair of the Community Education and Outreach Committee. “By awarding these grants we hope to highlight a few exemplary charities throughout the region doing extraordinary work.”
In addition to the grants, Bluegrass Realtors® will be hosting Realtor® Volunteer Days the first full week of June (3-7) where members of the Association will be undertaking daily charitable activities throughout the region to give back to the organizations and communities that need assistance.
