Bluegrass Realtors® is honored to award 10 scholarships at $2,000 each to local high school seniors for the 2024-2025 school year. Scholarship winners completed applications this spring as part of the Association’s Community Education and Outreach Committee’s goal of helping students, and investing in education, across the 38-county jurisdiction. As part of the application, applicants included an essay on the importance of homeownership.
“Being the inaugural year for this program, we are proud of the response from the local high schools throughout the Bluegrass region,” said Randy Newsome, president of Bluegrass Realtors®. “Our goal is to create homeownership awareness with these applicants during a pivotal time in their life. As an association, we are always educating consumers on the importance of purchasing a home as it is one of the biggest financial decisions one will make in their lifetime.”
Scholarship winners were:
- Joshua Coleman - Model Laboratory (Madison County)
- Raegan Daugherty - Pulaski County High School (Pulaski County)
- Lillian Finney - Opportunity Middle College (Fayette County)
- Zada Henderson - Corbin High School (Whitley County)

The Association has been involved in the school system with several initiatives over the years and this is another way we can have an impact on the future.”
Scholarship applications for the upcoming school year will open in late Fall and will close in February 2025.
