Bluegrass Realtors®, representing Central and Southern Kentucky, proudly participated in the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) 2025 Realtor® Volunteer Days, held May 12-16. This nationwide initiative encourages Realtors® across the country to give back to their communities through volunteer service—making a meaningful impact in a short time.
“Across the country, more than two-thirds of all Realtors® volunteer in their communities each month,” said Todd Hyatt, president of Bluegrass Realtors®. “Giving back is deeply ingrained in who we are - not just as professionals, but as neighbors committed to improving the places we call home.”
Throughout the week, more than 50 Realtors® and affiliate members joined forces to support seven nonprofit organizations throughout the region.
Their efforts included:
- Helping sort and stock over 60,000 pounds of food
- Landscaping a senior living facility
- Cleaning up the grounds of a historic site
- Renovating a bedroom in a group home
- Organizing donations of clothing and household items
- Serving meals to those in need
- Hosting a cookout for veterans
These efforts made a lasting difference for thousands of Kentuckians in just five days.

- Lighthouse Ministries
- AMEN House
- God’s Pantry Food Bank
- Ashland Terrace Senior Living Community
- Gleanings Housing, Inc.
- William Whitley House
- Thomson-Hood Veterans Center
“This is our second year participating, and we saw an increase in volunteers,” said Wendy Howard, chair of the Community Education & Outreach Committee. “While many of us volunteer year-round, this dedicated week allows us to come together and maximize our collective impact. It’s incredibly rewarding to support these organizations and their missions.”
