Bluegrass Realtors® is honored to award 10 scholarships at $2,000 each to local high school seniors for the 2025 school year. Scholarship winners completed applications this spring as part of the Association’s Community Education and Outreach Committee’s goal of helping students, and investing in education, across the 38-county jurisdiction.  As part of the application, applicants included an essay on the importance of homeownership.

“We are honored to celebrate high school seniors throughout the Bluegrass region. Our goal with the scholarship program is to create homeownership awareness with applicants during a pivotal time in their life,” said Todd Hyatt, president of Bluegrass Realtors®. “As an association, we are always looking to find ways to educate consumers on the importance of purchasing a home as it is one of the biggest financial decisions one will make in their lifetime.”

Scholarship winners were:

  • MonTae Ashford – Bryan Station High School (Fayette County)
  • Bryce Bates – Lafayette High School (Fayette County)
  • Reid Bryant – Whitely County High School (Whitely County)
  • Tharun Ekambaram – Mercer County High School (Mercer County)
  • Logan Lucas – Rowan County High School (Rowan County)
  • Olivia Messer – Clay County High School (Clay County)
  • Ellen Mueller – Scott County High School (Scott County)
  • Nathan Ogle – Madison Central High School (Madison County)
  • Addison Thompson – Montgomery County High School (Montgomery County)
  • Alexis Vittitow – East Jessamine High School (Jessamine County)

Hyatt continued, “Even though we are only able to award ten scholarships each year, we are thankful for all who applied. These young students have a bright future ahead of them. The Association has been involved in the school system with several initiatives over many decades and are thrilled to continue by offering this scholarship for the second year in a row.”

Scholarship applications for the upcoming school year will open in late Fall and will close in February 2026. These awards are open to high school seniors in the Association’s 38 counties if they plan to attend a post-secondary institution or trade school program in Kentucky.
