Bluegrass Realtors® has awarded $10,000 in grants to local charitable organizations. This funding comes as part of the Association’s Community Education and Outreach Committee’s goal of helping organizations across the 38-county jurisdiction. Ten organizations received $1,000 each as part of the Good Neighbor Grants program.
"Strong communities are built by people who dedicate themselves to serving others every day,” said Mike Inman, president of Bluegrass Realtors®. “These organizations provide hope, stability and opportunity for families across our region, and we're honored to invest in their work. Supporting our neighbors is part of who Realtors® are, and these grants help extend that commitment beyond real estate."
Selected grant recipients included:
- Acres of Hope – Fayette County
- Arbor Youth Services – Fayette and Surrounding
- Ashland Terrace – Fayette County
- Awake Ministries – Shelby County
- Gateway Children Services – Montgomery County
- Heritage Ministries Inc. – Clay County
- Lighthouse Ministries – Fayette County
- Madison County Haven of Hope – Madison County
- William Joseph Crisis Nursery – Franklin County
- Winchester Community Work Group – Clark County
The Association's commitment to strengthening local communities extends beyond financial support. During Realtor® Volunteer Days in early June, dozens of Bluegrass Realtors® members volunteered with nonprofit organizations across the region, donating their time to help meet critical community needs. Organizations included: Amen House, Hope Center, One Parent Scholar House, Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, William Whitley House and Woodford Food Pantry.
"Each of the nonprofits selected this year is addressing a unique need, whether it's supporting children and families, assisting seniors, helping individuals overcome hardship or strengthening neighborhoods,” stated Susie Basham, chair of the Community Education & Outreach Committee at Bluegrass Realtors®. “Through both our Good Neighbor Grants and Realtor® Volunteer Days, our members are proud to partner with organizations that are making a lasting difference throughout Central and Southern Kentucky."
