The REALTOR®-Community Housing Foundation depends on community volunteers, funders, and of course, REALTORS®, to ensure that the housing needs of the Bluegrass are met through home rehabilitation for the elderly, homeownership counseling for potential homebuyers, and installation of access ramps for those with physical limitations and mobility issues. The Realtor®-Community Housing Foundation (RCHF) is a nonprofit organization - 501 (c)(3) - incorporated in 1992 established from a partnership among real estate professionals and many other concerned community members of the Bluegrass who have the desire to assist families and individuals – young and old – to live the American dream of owning their own home. Members of this partnership include Realtors®, members of the Remodelers Council of the Home Builders Association of Lexington, businesses, civic clubs, churches, caring individuals, students and educators. By fostering a community commitment, RCHF’s goal is to empower families, strengthen neighborhoods and maximize the economy by opening doors to homeownership for those who might lose or may not otherwise have this opportunity.
